My story

I have always had a love for language and a fascination with words.

Growing up, I spent many days perched on the porch of my Southern California home — listening to neighbors’ impromptu stories like vivid scenes in a movie theater.

This lifelong interest in people and their stories led to a career in Media and Public Affairs with the City of Los Angeles Human Relations Commission. I then moved to my familial state of Georgia, where I continued a career in governmental communications.

While employed in the public sector, I wrote speeches delivered to national and international organizations, including the US Chamber of Commerce, the Pew Charitable Trust Foundation, and the World Bank.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Mount Saint Mary’s University, and I am writing my debut book entitled The Speaker’s Playbook.

I currently live in Woodstock, Georgia with my son, where I founded Speakeasy Speechwriting, an agency dedicated to helping others transform lives through story.

I would love to hear your story.
